After-sales follow-up

There is contact after the job, and that is why the customer comes back.

What happens after the money changes hands

The sale closes and that is that. The service due, the review and the next purchase all depend on somebody remembering.

Today
  • Follow-up happens when there is a spare moment, which is to say hardly ever.
  • Next year's service depends on the customer remembering.
  • Reviews get asked for now and then, from whoever happens to be nearby.
  • If something went wrong, you find out when the one-star review lands.
  • The happy customer forgets the business until they need it again.
With heydiga
  • It always happens, at the interval you decide.
  • The reminder goes out when it is due, with the appointment already offered.
  • Reviews get asked from everybody, while they still remember.
  • If something went wrong, the incident is taken down before it goes public.
  • The happy customer gets a sign that somebody remembers them.

Working from the next customer

No campaign to set up: it comes out of what is already recorded in your system.

Three days later, a month later or a year later: each service has its own.

What everybody asks

Eight quick answers to get the doubts out of the way.

Can it call a customer after they have been served?

Yes, heydiga makes outbound calls and sends messages after the service: checking that everything went well, reminding them of the next appointment or the next maintenance, letting them know something is ready or winning back a customer who has not returned for months. It is work that almost no small business ever gets round to for lack of time, and it shows: half of all check-ups and maintenance jobs get missed if nobody gets in touch.

When does the follow-up happen?

heydiga follows up whenever the business decides, and each service can have its own timing: three days after a treatment, a month or a year after a check-up. The message goes out on its own when it is due, based on what is already recorded in the business's system, with no lists to prepare and no campaign to set up.

Is the follow-up done by phone or on WhatsApp?

heydiga uses whichever channel the business prefers. For a "how did it go?" a message usually works better; to win back a customer who has not been in for a while, a call. And if the customer needs the invoice, the warranty or the report, heydiga sends it on WhatsApp without anyone on the team having to look for it.

What happens if the customer complains?

heydiga takes down the whole incident, with what happened, since when and the customer's contact details, and gets it straight away to whoever can resolve it, long before it ends up as a one-star review. It does not resolve the complaint on its own or promise timescales the business has not given it: it leaves it documented and in the hands of a person.

Does it ask everyone for a review?

heydiga asks for a review from whoever the business decides and at the moment it decides. The usual approach is to ask only those who have said everything went well, while they still remember; whatever went wrong goes into an incident with a full name attached, not into a review. The plans section shows which plans include review management.

Can it book the next appointment in the same conversation?

Yes, heydiga offers the next appointment during the follow-up and, if the customer accepts, books it in the calendar before the call ends. It is especially useful for things that already have a date even if nobody says so: next year's check-up, the six-month review or the next colour touch-up.

Does it only take incoming calls, or does it make outbound calls too?

heydiga does both. As well as answering incoming calls, it calls to confirm appointments, win back inactive customers, let people know something is ready or follow up after a visit.

How does heydiga help win more customers and reduce no-shows?

heydiga works on two fronts. It recovers the calls that are lost today, which in many service businesses are a large share of the month's opportunities, and it reduces no-shows with automatic confirmations and reminders. It also makes outbound calls to win back inactive customers or follow up after a visit.

Start with yesterday's customer

Choose when and what to ask, and the follow-up runs itself.

The phone causes more trouble

If this one rings a bell, these three will too. Each is solved on its own.

How many calls come in, what gets asked and what is being lost.
Always answers, even when your business has closed or you are on holiday.
Ten calls at once at peak time, with no queue and no hold music.
