The phone always rings at the worst hour

It is exactly when the dining room is full that people call most. This is what changes with digafood.

Today
  • Half two, full house, and the phone ringing. Either someone stops serving to take it, or the booking is lost.
  • The restaurant closes and the phone keeps ringing. People plan Saturday dinner on a Tuesday night.
  • A Friday with two tables of six that never turn up. Nobody confirmed them and there is no time left to refill.
With digafood
  • Takes every call at once, including the ones that come in while it is talking to someone else. Nobody leaves the floor.
  • Answers at any hour and leaves the table booked in the system, with nobody having to call back the next day.
  • Confirms on the day, warns about changes and offers the freed table to whoever was on the waiting list.
30%
3 out of 10 calls come in mid-service, when nobody can take them.
-30%
No-shows fall when the booking is confirmed on the day.

What everybody asks

The thirteen questions that come up before deciding. Answered here so nobody has to call and ask.

What is digafood and which businesses is it for?

digafood is heydiga's product for hospitality: restaurants that take bookings, restaurant groups and chains, bars and cafés, delivery and takeaway, catering and events, and hotel restaurants. It answers the venue's phone and WhatsApp 24/7, handles bookings and orders and confirms with the customer, even when the dining room is packed or the venue is closed.

What does it do at the busiest point of service?

digafood answers several calls at once, with no queue and no hold music, exactly when the team cannot pick up: three in ten calls to a restaurant come in mid-service. It takes the bookings and the repetitive questions while the dining room keeps running, and nobody has to stop serving to answer the phone. The plans section shows how many simultaneous calls each plan includes.

Does it take delivery and takeaway orders?

Yes, digafood takes the order by phone or WhatsApp with the details the venue needs (items, collection time or delivery address), repeats it back to confirm and records it. In many takeaway businesses these are most of the calls, and they are exactly the ones lost during lunch service.

Can it tell callers about the menu and the daily set menu?

Yes, digafood gives whatever information the venue has loaded: the menu, the daily set menu, opening hours, whether there is a terrace or parking and whether dogs are allowed. When a question goes beyond what has been defined, it neither improvises nor over-answers: it passes the call to someone on the team. That way the usual questions no longer pull anyone off the floor mid-service.

Can it answer questions about allergens?

Yes. digafood answers allergen questions using the menu the restaurant has loaded. If the question is not covered by the menu or needs the kitchen to confirm, it does not improvise: it says so and passes the call to someone on the team, who is the one to confirm it.

Does it handle bookings and orders on WhatsApp?

Yes, the customer writes to the venue's number and digafood replies with the same information as on the phone: it checks availability, confirms the booking or takes the order and sends the confirmation in the same chat. It is the same assistant on both channels, so it does not duplicate bookings between calls and messages. The plans section shows how to add the WhatsApp channel to each plan.

What does it do with groups, events and celebrations?

digafood takes down a group's full request (number of people, date, type of celebration and a rough budget if the venue asks for one) and passes it to the restaurant, because a group almost always needs a person to decide the room, menu and time. What digafood prevents is that request being lost because nobody picked up the phone in time.

Does it work for a group with several venues?

Yes, digafood works for restaurant groups. Each venue can have its own line, opening hours and menu, or they can all share a single number that routes every call to the right venue and consolidates what happens across all of them. The group's call routing and a switchboard with a phone menu are configured case by case. The plans section shows which plan includes bookings across venues.

Does it reduce tables left empty by no-shows?

Yes, digafood confirms the booking when it is made and again on the day, with the option to confirm or cancel from the message, and if someone is not coming it offers the table to whoever was on the waiting list. A cancellation given in time is a table that can be sold again. The plans section shows which plans include reminders and the waiting list.

Which booking systems does digafood connect to?

digafood connects to CoverManager, TheFork and Restoo, and works on the tables, sittings and rooms the venue already has set up. It checks availability at the moment of the call, so it does not offer a table that has just been booked online, and it writes the booking in before hanging up. The plans section shows which plans include the booking system integration.

Can callers tell that an AI voice agent is not a person?

heydiga speaks in a voice so natural that many customers would struggle to tell the difference: it understands interruptions, replies in real time and uses no menus or "press 1". Even so, it introduces itself as a virtual assistant from the very start, as the EU AI Act requires. And if the customer would rather speak to someone on the team, it passes the call on.

Do I have to change my number or software to answer calls with AI?

Nothing needs to change to use heydiga. The business keeps its phone number and its management software: heydiga connects to the calendar or CRM it already uses to check and create appointments, tickets or orders, and if it uses none, heydiga provides one. Each business decides which calls to divert: all of them, after-hours calls or only the ones it cannot get to.

What security certifications does heydiga have?

heydiga is certified under Spain's National Security Framework (ENS) at medium category (Royal Decree 311/2022) and under ISO 27001. It runs on servers in the European Union, complies with the GDPR and encrypts data in transit and at rest.
